WHAT IS FLOW 2 SOUND


Dancing and moving the body before settling into stillness creates a natural shift out of the busy, thinking mind and into direct physical awareness.

When you first arrive, your system is often carrying residual tension, mental noise, tight muscles, restless energy. Gentle or expressive movement gives all of that somewhere to go. Instead of trying to force yourself into calm, you transition into it.

Through carefully curated music, intuitive movement, breathwork, and somatic techniques, you’re invited to shake, sway, stretch, or move in whatever way feels right for you. There’s no choreography to follow, just an open invitation to explore your body’s natural flow, release tension, and reconnect with yourself.

Wearing headphones, similar to a silent disco, allows you to tune out distractions and journey inward. The rhythm and sound become personal, shaping your movement in real time and helping you drop deeper into the experience.

As you move, the nervous system begins to regulate. Excess energy is released, the body feels safer, and you naturally begin to shift into a parasympathetic (rest-and-receive) state, the ideal foundation for a deeper, more effective sound bath.

In this way, movement becomes a bridge. It clears, awakens, and prepares you, so that when the session begins to slow, you don’t just stop… you arrive.

Movement softens. Breath deepens. And you’re guided gently into stillness.

When the body is fully supported, the mind finally has permission to rest.

Lying on a soft, luxurious flotation bed, the body no longer needs to hold itself up. Muscles release the subtle, constant effort they carry throughout the day, postural tension, quiet bracing, the holding you may not even notice until it fades.

A space is created that feels genuinely safe, warm, unhurried, and entirely yours.

You are not just lying still, you are becoming receptive.

In this state, sound does something different.

The frequencies of singing bowls, gongs, and other resonant instruments are not simply heard, they are felt. Vibrations move gently through the body, meeting breath, tissue, and stillness, encouraging subtle shifts that support deep rest and reset.

Some people experience imagery or insight, while others simply rest in a way they didn’t realise they needed.

Gently guided throughout, the session allows everything to settle and integrate, leaving you feeling calm, grounded, and restored.

Suitable for all levels, this is your time to move, to pause, and to feel completely safe to let go.

Floatation Sound Bath Facilitator

Michelle Cox is the founder of Shell Cox Wellness, creating immersive sound bath experiences designed to help people slow down, switch off, and reconnect with themselves.

Her journey into wellness came from personal experience. After years of focusing on others through her work, she reached a point where her own wellbeing needed attention. It was during this time that she discovered meditation — not as something complicated or spiritual, but as a simple, powerful way to step out of the noise of everyday life and find real rest.

What began as a personal practice quickly became something deeper. Through daily meditation and continued learning, Michelle experienced first-hand the impact it can have on both the mind and body — something those around her began to notice too.

Today, she channels that experience into creating Flotation Sound Bath sessions that are accessible, calming, and grounded in real-life need. Her work is not about spiritual concepts or complicated practices — it’s about offering people a space to pause, breathe, and fully switch off.

From floating sound bath experiences to unique outdoor settings beneath the stars, Michelle’s sessions are designed to help you let go, reset, and leave feeling lighter, calmer, and more like yourself again.

Liana Oldham

Dance Movement Meditation Facilitator

Liana, the founder of Flow with Liana, started practising Yoga in Brazil in 1997 to de-stress from a demanding professional career. After graduating in Journalism, post-graduating and working with Advertising she found herself suffering from stress in her early 20’s. She was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, had severe heart palpitations and IBS; having a knee condition that flared up when doing high intensity exercise meant restricted physical activity options. She stepped into the world of Yoga and for a few years she vigorously practiced the Ashtanga and Yengar styles, to then move onto Restorative and Pre-Natal Yoga.

In 2011 Liana moved to England with 3 young children, and found herself fatigued, overweight, suffering from anxiety which triggered Fibromyalgia again. Her Physiotherapist suggested Yoga and more exercise. She developed her home practice, attended weekly Hatha classes at her local gym and would swim or take part in group cycling. Her health was restored and at the age of 42, she braved a career change.

She became a Gym Floor Fitness Instructor and in 2017 a Les Mills BodyBalance Instructor teaching a blend of Yoga with Tai Chi, and Pilates. In 2018, Liana qualified as a Yoga Teacher and soon after certified in Teen Yoga and Mindfulness. She specialised in Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra and started teaching Chair Yoga to the ageing population.

During the pandemic, peri-menopause symptoms creeped up, but she was grateful for having time to educate herself and changed her outlook on other activities that support ageing bodies. She started practising Qigong which is the Chinese approach to energy flow and mindful movement, and in 2022, she certified as a Women’s Health Coach Specialist to offer workout routines; guide into Nutrition and help with lifestyle habits.

She invests good amount of time updating herself on scientific studies with evidence on how to stress debilitates one’s health and always been a believer of subtle energy fields. She became a Reiki and Sound Therapist to offer these holistic treatments either privately or in group events. More recently, she embarked on a journey of exploring sound and movement further and qualified as a Flow Dance Meditation facilitator which is an active form of meditation.

Her experience as a professional, mother and wellness practitioner makes her truly committed to people’s well-being and passionate about consciously bringing mind, body, and soul together for better physical and mental states.
